Alokh Nath & Happy Kumar Bragged 2nd & 3rd Position in the 4th Senior Wushu Championship

Where winning has become habit… Yes, Alok Nath & Happy Kumar has done it Again!!

Alok Nath Civil-7th Sem & Happy Kumar CSE-5th Sem made us proud again, by securing 2nd & 3rd position in Sanshou/Taoluinn Event, the 4th Senior State Wushu Championship held at Wrestling Hall, Sports Complex, Sector-42 Chandigarh on 30th & 31st August, 2014.

Alok Nath secured 2nd position in Sanshou/Taoluinn-90Kg event where as Happy Kumar  secured 3rd position in Sanshou/Taoluinn-60Kg Event.

So far achievements of our Champions

Alok Nath (Civil-7th Sem)

  • 2nd  position in Sanshou/Taoluinn Event, the 4th Senior State Wushu Championship
  • Won a Gold Medal in Senior PHUNABA ANISHUBA event in the 4th “Chandigarh State Thang –Ta Championship” (Indian Martial Art) held on 17th August.
  • Secured third position in the 76 kg category of Hastkala,‘National Open Ash-Te-Do Federation Cup 2013’ held under the aegis of ‘National Ash-Te-Do Akhada Federation of India’ He was awarded a Bronze Medal for his achievement.
  • Got a Yellow Belt to his credit. He now holds the Black Belt after this recent event.

Happy Kumar (CSE-5th Sem)

  • 3rd position in Sanshou/Taoluinn Event, the 4th Senior State Wushu Championship
  • Won Brownz Medal in 20th Chandigarh State Karate Championship-2011-2012
  • Awarded with Silver Medal in 1st Tricity Karate Championship
  • Got a White Belt to his credit

Vice- Chairman Quest Group of Institutions- Mr. H.P.S Kanda congratulated & appreciated both the students for their achievement. He added that students should take part in sports too as sports not only teaches us virtues of sportsmanship, teamwork  & discipline but also keeps the  mind & body vigorous.
