An Educational Tour to Science City

Education & Entertainment can best describe the tour organized by Applied Sciences Department of Quest Group of Institutions on 17th March,2015. Students of B.Tech 1st year were accompanied by HOD Applied Sciences -Ms. Roshni Soni and faculty member Ms. Bindu Kaushik, Ms. Arvinder Kaur & Mr. Arvind.

An educational tour to Science City- The second largest Science City in India, has been set up in 72 acres of land in the of heart of Punjab, on Jalandhar- Kapurthala Road. It is intended to inculcate the scientific aptitude & temperament, to fire the imagination and creativity, foster the spirit of enquiry and exploration among the masses, especially in the young minds.
The subject areas covered include physical, applied, natural and social sciences, engineering, technology, agriculture, health sciences, energy, industries, human evolution and civilization, the environment, ecosystems, Jurassic parks as well as frontier areas like space, nuclear science, information technology, robotics and Bio-technology..

The students had got an opportunity to see and learn about new inventions & discoveries in its various sections like:

  • Students Feedback about the Visit:Kabo T Sumi (B.Tech-2nd Sem) said, “It was an amazing place with innovative ways to learn about the  modern aspects of science and technology.”Ahmed Raja(B.Tech-2nd Sem) said, “A place was worthwhile to watch. I learnt about simulator, the technical aspects used in physics projects and much more.”Priya, (B.Tech-2nd Sem) said, “It was a great learning experience. I was stunned by the beauty of Science city and the main attraction was 3D movie and Dinosaurs Park”.Overall,“It was a memorable experience for all”.
