Cheema Boilers selects 10 Students from Joint Campus at Quest Group of Institutions
Cheema Boilers visited Quest Group of Institutions for campus placements of final year students of B.Tech. Mechanical. The Company manufactures steam boilers for almost all industries, providing various services and solutions to power and process industries along with the production of a wide range of other related products.
Headquartered in Chandigarh, Cheema Boilers has nationwide operations with regional offices in Delhi, Mohali, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore fast strengthening its global presence.
Mr Harinder Kanda,Vice Chairman welcomed the officials and the process began with a pre placement talk. Total of 110 students appeared in which students from other colleges as far as Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan also participated in the drive. Total 31 students were shortlisted after Jam Round and written test and 10 students were finally selected after personal Interview round. The selected students will be joining in Head Office as well as Ropar plant as trainee and will be designated as Assistant Engineers at starting package of 1.74 lac and after one year will be given 40-80% hike depending on the performance.
Monika D Mehta, Head Training and Placements while congratulating the students said,” Cheema Boilers chooses on the basis of technical skills alongwith right attitude and zeal to learn. And the best lot has been picked by vigorous screening process as the company does not compromise on quality.”
She said that apart from this, in the last few months students have been given chance for placement in many reputed Companies like Epic Research, Indialends, Axis Bank, HDFC bank, Crisil, Karvy, SME Faridabad etc which assessed the students on different parameters and have been offered jobs at very good packages.
Mr D.S.Sekhon congratulated the students and said,” It’s a matter of pride that students from other colleges have been given a chance in top most companies which a student aspires for. Quest has always aimed to give something extra to the students and that makes all the difference.“
