FLAIR – The Annual Cultural – Techno  Fest organized  by Quest Group of Institutions ,as the name suggests was “stylishness and originality”  personified!!

This two day Inter College Gala event, held on 21st & 22nd of March 19, 2014 left both the students & spectators spellbound!

The flair demonstrated by the students in the College Annual function on 21st March here was the proof that the students have the potentiality to be the useful citizens of the future.
As we are living in that country in which we remember our “God” before starting any good work, the programme began with Traditional Lamp Lightening & Shabd Recital. The cultural function put up by the students was an amalgamation of superb dances ,melodious songs, thought provoking skits ,in which each & every student outshined on the stage.The Fashion show based on theme “LOVE”, with couples dressed up as likes of  Heer Ranjha /Jodha –Akbar etc ,received the maximum applaud from the spectators. The high-voltage rock band performance by our students was much-admired. The magical spectacle, continued with students from various states dressed up in their native costumes & fineries & dancing to their traditional music & songs. The funny satire on the blind faith of God men & Parody kept the audience in splits. Such events offered one shot at fame that students have always longed for.


This gala show was followed by felicitation and distribution of prizes & certificates of merit in due acknowledgement to the students, of the college for their exemplary performance in different academic  & cultural pursuits.Mr.Ramesh Vinayak- resident Editor of Hindustan times Singh presided over the function & distributed the awaited awards, along with Chairman of Quest Group,Mr.D.S. Sekhon , Vice Chairman  Mr.H.P.S Kanda & Vice Chairman Mr.J.S.Dhaliwal & Drector Principal  Dr.R.S.Khela.

Chairman of Quest Group,Mr.D.S. Sekhon , was greatly impressed by the bundle of talent of the college students & addressed the audience “The purpose of the  these festivals  is to bring the College community together in a shared enterprise that celebrates creativity, talent, innovations, experiments, & achievements  of our vigorous  students.”

The Following Day, the students of Quest indeed “seized the day “on 22nd March in their inter collegiate annual fest FLAIR. This integrated Techno –Cultural festival put together an array of activities for students to access their Technical & Literary knowledge and skills. The students participated in various “On and off stage “inter college events. The fest saw about 500 students from various colleges in & around  city and far beyond vie for supremacy in all things creative — from RJ Hunt, dance, music  to quiz, Rangoli, and variety of technical events.

Students at Quest every year lead this show with full enthusiasm, and novelty of concept, Right from conceptualization of idea, selection of theme, using their skills to get sponsors on board marketing and promotion of event, and managing the event, with added flavor of fun. This year also Students at Quest did this with passion and tenacity,when they organized various events mentioned Below:

While the on- stage events like RJ hunt,Quiz,Solo dance & Singing were being watched and judged ,there were a host of off stage events simultaneously taking place in the Institute like  Nail Art,Paper Craft ,Treasure Hunt etc. This was followed by the Chairman, Mr.D.S.Sekhon’s  address and the eagerly awaited prize distribution ceremony.

Mr.Sekhon said” So be it fine arts, performing arts or literary skills, we have the stage set for youngsters to take over. The stage that has been adorned by many great people, and we gave the chance to etch youngsters to have their name in the hallowed halls of fame. Flair was the perfect event to leave behind inhibitions & to bring out the best in you”.

The Chief Guest ,Mr.Sukhjit Pal Singh-SDM Kharar was mighty impressed by the  event & commented that ”This Techno-Cultural  festival also provides a real life learning platform to the students as they are involved in it right from planning to execution. These event give them a platform to learning by doing, and convert what we teach them in class, implement them practically.”

The Mega event culminated with a star studded night with the, one of the most loved Punjabi singers,”Sharry Maan “performing in the campus. Sharry Maan is a well known name in the youth for his singing and lyrics. He is not only a good singer but also a good stage performer. The youth went crazy when he belted out his famous tracks like “Pooja Kiven Aa”& ‘Kudiyan Te Bussan’ His melodious voice drove students into a frenzy  specially when he sang his record breaking song “Yaar Anmulle ”

Vice Chairman, the Backbone of Quest was elated & proud of his team & congratulated each one of the student & faculty on the success of this high voltage event. He beamed  with pride & said “Right from running around, to manage the show, handle the stress our students are perfect, and these event gave them a platform to learning by doing, and convert what we teach them in class, implement them practically. He added “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. Mahatma Gandhi” & Questions were indeed Happy today”
