Industrial Visit of MBA Students in GEPL (Mohali)

Quest Group of Institutions arranged an industrial tour of the MBA students to Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (Mohali) on September 30, 2013.

Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is an ISO/TS 16949 & EMS & OHSAS 18001 certified company, and it manufactures the auto-electronics components like automobile switches and resistors for car air conditioners and blowers, switches for commercial vehicles and tractors, relays, solenoids, air heaters, sub-assemblies and full assemblies. GEPL exports to USA, Europe, Russia, Singapore and Phillipines.

The trip was organized for the students pursuing their first and second year of MBA from the college. Mr. Sukhdeep Singh (HOD-MBA, Quest College) accompanied the students with the other staff members to their visit.

The interactive tour was followed by a motivational speech by Mr. Khushjiv Singh Sethi (Executive Director, Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd.). The students were also addressed by the Director Sales of the company, Ms. Guneet Kaur Sethi. Students were quite inspired to see the discipline and effective organizing layout in all the departments of the organization.

As per Karmandeep Singh (student), ‘I was pleased to see the systems followed in GEPL. What caught my attention was that the women were employed more in number than the men. And the emphasis was laid on employee safety and health.
