Mr. H.K. Agarwal – Expert lecture
An enlightening session on “Skill development and employment generation “was conducted for the students of ECE & MECh dept Quest by noted Speaker Mr.H.K. Aggarwalon 24 Sep 2014.
Mr. Aggarwal has a wide technological, managerial & academic background of about 60 years abroad and in India. His career had been based upon Green field projects. It was an honour to host a man of this caliber who is currently assisting the development of technology by technical institutes, for mass conversion of pre-owned cars & diesel buses to battery/electric vehicles. He is a member of several professional organizations, widely traveled, and attended conferences and exhibitions abroad and in India.
He delivered a an informative lecture on:
- Assimilation: How to imbibe theory of any subject in mind
- Role of an engineer: Why application engineering is very important for an all round progress & How engineering is an only profession with multi dimensional facets.
- Fundamentals of development: Adoption of techno economics merits based upon necessity as the mother of invention.
- Indian prospective: To focus on applied engineering from school level.
According to Diya Karki, ECE Students “The Lecture was very motivating for developing skills in students in order to get employed. He emphasized on being a part of solution rather than part of problem and how to apply theoretical knowledge to practical aspects.”
ECE Faculty Ms.Gurpreet added that “Students should be encouraged to undertake the project with practical basis. Emphasis should be on doing practical and experiments more than the theatrical knowledge. He inspired the students to develop self confidence and skills.”
