Quest bags 4th Position in National Level debate

Questians have added another feather in their cap by securing 4th position in Dr. D. R. Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate Season-V, organised by Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) and PCTE Group of Institutes Baddowal from 20th to22nd February, 2014. About 24 teams from all over the country participated in the event. It is amongst the most prestigious and challenging debate tournament in the region. Four students of our Quest Group of Institute, Maninder Singh of CSE-VI sem. , Tanya Pathania of Civil- VI sem., Amanjot Kaur of ECE-IV sem. and Kanwardeep Kaur of ECE-II sem. displayed their spontaneity, oratory skills & knowledge & competed with powerful teams  from all over India. In the preliminary rounds they debated on the topics, like “This house should ban child performance”, “The house believes social deprivation cause crimes”& “This house is ruled by TRP” against the teams from Jamai Millia Islamia University, Delhi University and RMNLU Lukhnow respectively. After knocking out the three teams from well known institutes of the country our team entered the Semi finals where they fought the battle of glory against the teams from NLSIU, Banglore and RGUKT from, Hydrabad on the topics “The house believes that Russia is back” and “The house approves foreign intervention” resp. and scored overall fourth position in this National level debate.Students were awarded certificates and a cash prize for their achievement.

Mr.Harinder Kanda, Vice Chairman Quest Group of Institutions was elated with the students’ performance & congratulated the energetic team by saying that “The team has set the bar higher & this has been a proud moment for all of us, to see our students reaching such heights.”
