QUEST ORGANISED ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP


With a view to expose students as well as encourage faculty, Quest Group of Institutions organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in association with IKG PTU and TIE.

Camp was aimed at creating awareness about various facets of entrepreneurship while highlighting the merits of pursuing such a career option. In this camp more than 100 students participated from B.Tech and MBA. They were exposed to different aspects of entrepreneurship, including opportunity guidance, Business Challenges, Services offered by agencies of support system etc. Students got the opportunity to get in direct touch with practicing entrepreneurs. Ms Manjula Sularia,CEO of The Transformers was Key Note Speaker and Mr Harchitvan Singh from TIE and Mr Ashish Syal from PTU Nalanda were Guest of Honour.

Students were encouraged to explore their potential and were motivated to start something of their own and rather than seeking employment and being a job seeker, they were encouraged to be a job giver. Ms Manjula shared her journey of Success with the audience and made a powerful connect with the students. Students besides taking away so much learning from the session enjoyed some fun activities during the session.

Ms Monika D Mehta, Head of Entrepreneurship Development Cell said,”The event was organized to impart knowledge about the trends of the industry and inspire young generation to become future entrepreneurs. Regular Face to face mentoring and interactive sessions with industry experts is very important for the budding entrepreneurs.”

The panel also shared details of TAP Business Plan Competition providing an opportunity to the students of all the affiliated colleges of IKGPTU to present their business idea & plan in front of a panel of entrepreneurs from TiE and academicians from PTU. TAP will provide an opportunity to the shortlisted teams to get mentoring & support from successful entrepreneurs of the region for a month. On the final presentation day, TiE will give away cash prizes worth Rs 1, 20,000 to the top 6 teams.

Dr P.K.Bansal,Director-General thanked the guests for their valuable time and added that whatever students choose to do in life in future, they should do it with full passion and they will surely be successful.

Mr D.P.S.Sekhon appreciated the step taken by students who came forward and showed the entrepreneurial spirit and wished them Good luck for their future endeavours.
