In the 21st century, computers have become an indispensable part of our lives and there exists a huge demand for Computer professionals for the development of faster hardware components, new communication systems, and softwares.
Computer science engineering (CSE) is one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants that focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. It deals primarily with the theory of computation and design of computational systems. Students learn the design, implementation and management of information systems, programming languages, etc.
For B.Tech. 1st Year – 10+2 (PCM) from a recognized Board with minimum 45% marks.
For LEET (2nd Year) – 3 Year Polytechnic Diploma in any stream from a recognized Board with minimum 45% marks.
For International Students– 12 years of formal schooling with Mathematics and Science Subjects with at least 45% marks from a Board/ University recognized by the Government of the respective Country.
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Quest Group of Institutions is setting new benchmarks in imparting quality education to its students. The department team is working with a sense of responsibility and dedication to excel. The faculty is actively engaged in research and development and has published research papers in National and International Conferences.
Apart from imparting conventional technical education, emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities such as seminars, workshops, industry visits, debates and quizzes to prepare students for highly competitive job market. The objective of the department is the 4 dimensional development of the students’ i.e. Theory knowledge of the subjects, Practical application of the knowledge in terms of project development in every semester, cultivating qualities like leadership, teamwork, self confidence, and good communication skills among its students.

The overall objective of the department is to develop Students’ potential to its fullest extent so that intellectually capable students can emerge in a range of professions. The students are given projects every semester, so as they develop the problem solving skills from the very scratch i.e. understanding the requirements. The CSE department at Quest Group of Institutions has state of the art Air Conditioned Computer Centre and Computer Labs, equipped with Latest Computers from HP & DELL. All the computers are connected to a high speed network with powerful Server machines.
The department provides 50 Mbps (1:1 pure) Leased Line internet connectivity to the students which is further extended via Wi-Fi network in the institution as well as Hostels.
The CSE department is a member of MSDN academic alliance of Microsoft , which means that the students and staff members can access majority of Microsoft Software Free of cost
Computer and IT industry is one of the fastest growing segments of our economy. It is said to be one of the largest job providers in the country. As per NASSCOM projections IT industry will employ more than 30 million professionals in the decade of 2020.
Some of the options for the students after passing out Computer Engineering are :
- Students can join any IT and ITES Company. The job profile may vary like that of Programmer, testing engineer, networking engineer, Web Developer, Mobile Application Developer, Database Administrator, Database Programmer etc. Some of the leading companies which hire a huge number of Computer Science Graduates are Infosys, HCL, TCS, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, Cognizant Technologies etc.
- There are plenty of opportunities in different government departments also Such as ISRO, DRDO, ECIL, BEL, BSNL, RRB etc.
- They can also appear for UPSC and other state level civil services exams..
- Computer Engineering graduates receive an excellent pay package at the initial level itself compared to the other engineering fields. Starting salary could be in the range of Rs.1.5 Lacs to Rs. 3.5 Lacs per annum, which, with 2 or 3 year of experience may gradually rise to Rs. 5-6 Lacs per annum or more. The remuneration depends on the status of the industry and experience, qualifications and ability of the employee. Also they can find job openings both in India and abroad
